History
This site was started in 2002 under the name Glompers Anonymous - GlompAnon.org (.net, .com) as a place where fangirls (and some fanboys) could meet and chat primarily about Bishounen but also about anime and manga in general. We began adding in the occasional bishoujo to the site recently although we still lean heavily toward bishounen related content. We switched domain names in July 2005 when it was discovered that bishie.org was available. (And who could resist that?)
The site ran from Sept 2002 - June 2006 on PHPNuke and enjoyed active forums and community activities such as fan art contests. Due to security problems with PHPNuke we were hacked many times. Finally the site admin, Verbera, decided in June 2006 to move the site out of PHPNuke and start completely over. A hard decision as it meant we lost all of our forum posts for the past four years. But one that would enable the site to be more stable long term and easier to use. This is the "new" site that you see today.
This site would not exist if not for the continuing support and hard work of our Board of Directors - Animefreaka, KakashiBaka, Kira Kira, Oni-neko, and Zelgato.

Our Technology Hall of Fame
The new version of bishie.org would not have many lovely features if these people and organizations did not take the time to not only write but distribute for free (and ad-free at that) some wonderful scripts, services and software.
